One node, one organisation
All hubs, all import and export lanes, all recognition engines. Unlimited pages, documents and operators. The annual fee from the table above.
One fixed annual fee for one installation, one tenant and one organisation. Unlimited users, unlimited projects, unlimited pages. Processing more documents never raises the bill.
A capture budget you can set once a year. The fee follows your turnover band, not your invoice volume — so a busy quarter costs exactly what a quiet one does.
One fee covers one installation, one tenant and one organisation, with every user and project inside it. Partner and OEM terms for serving your own clients are agreed separately.
| Annual turnover | Licence per year | Per month, for comparison | Share of turnover | Rate on the step up to this point |

Turnover sets the KognitCapture fee. Page volume sets what a per-page product costs. The quote field is for a price you were actually offered.
Read this carefully: the figures below are published list bands, analyst-reported contract benchmarks and vendor pricing pages checked in August 2026. They are not quotes, and your negotiated price will differ. We publish them because every buyer we meet has already found them.
Most capture products are priced on how much you process. Below is what public sources report for the best-known ones, next to your KognitCapture fee. Where a per-page band is published, it is multiplied by the volume you entered above.
| Product | What is metered | Reported price | At 2,000,000 pages a year | Also consider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KognitCapture | Nothing. Fee by turnover band | €0 per page | €2,500 a year | Your own server; configuration effort |
| ABBYY Vantage | Transactions / documents | ≈ $0.02 – $0.10 per page | $40k – $200k a year | Vendor-managed cloud; analyst-reported median contract ≈ $150k a year |
| ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 | Pages + stations + modules | $15k – $150k+ a year | Rises with the page tier you buy | Windows estate plus an integrator |
| ABBYY FineReader Server | Volume / core tiers | $10k – $60k a year | Rises with the volume tier | Conversion and OCR; no field extraction workflow |
| Kofax / Tungsten Automation | Users + modules + volume | $50k – $500k a year | Rises with volume and seats | Services reported at $20k – $150k+ on top |
| Rossum | Documents, annual subscription | From ≈ $18k a year | Rises with the document tier | Vendor-managed cloud |
| Amazon Textract | Every page, no floor | $1.50 – $15 per 1,000 pages | $3k – $30k a year | Recognition API only: review screens, workflow and export are yours to build. Low end is plain text |
| The quote you hold | Per page | Your figure above | €40,000 a year | €37,500 more than KognitCapture |
What the table cannot show: at low volume a pay-per-page API is cheaper than any licence, and several of these products do things KognitCapture does not — vendor attestations, native ERP connectors, TWAIN scanning. Price is one column. The calculator reproduces the published KognitCapture table exactly at each turnover point and interpolates between them; a written quote is the binding figure.
Illustrative, not a quote. Metered figures use the public $0.02–0.10 per-page band plus a platform floor; the self-hosted line is your licence, illustrative infrastructure to run it on and one implementation. One line grows with volume. The other does not.
Every control is a pair: a slider you can drag and a figure you can type. Pages per year and turnover come from the fields above. Station and user licences are what most capture vendors charge for. Here they are free, so adding seats moves only the other lines.
Hover the chart, or focus it and use the arrow keys, to read every option at a given month. The table below holds the same model.
| Option | Year one | Over 3 years | Marginal page cost | What moves the number |
|---|
Capture pricing normally has four dials: pages, stations, modules and users. We use one — the deployment. Add operators, add projects, double your volume: the licence does not move. What moves is your infrastructure bill, and you can see it.
All hubs, all import and export lanes, all recognition engines. Unlimited pages, documents and operators. The annual fee from the table above.
Everything in single site, plus clustering: dedicated import, workflow and export nodes, GPU boxes for local models, and rolling upgrades. Still no page meter.
Multi-tenant operation for BPOs and MSPs, embedded scanning and verification hubs behind API keys, white-label chrome, and partner margins. Per-tenant or revenue-share · agreed with the partner. See Partners →
Prefer not to run it yourself? Managed hosting, implementation, migration, training and support are all available — quoted separately, on request. Nothing on this page includes them.
One licence covers one installation, one tenant and one organisation, with everything switched on.
A flat price is unfair in both directions: too much for a ten-person firm, trivial for a group. A per-page price punishes you for using the product. A turnover-based fee with a falling marginal rate asks each customer for an amount that is small against what they earn.
Worked example at €5M turnover: €900 for the first €500k, plus 0.12% of the next €500k (€600), plus 0.025% of the next €4M (€1,000). Total €2,500 a year.
Compare a product metered by the page. At the low end of the band reported for ABBYY Vantage, $0.02 a page, two million pages a year come to $40,000 — and to $60,000 the year you grow to three million. The KognitCapture licence stays where it was. See the comparison →
The annual turnover of the organisation that uses the installation. For a group or a public body the right basis is agreed in the quote — ask us and we tell you which figure we would use and why.
There is no free tier and no self-service trial download. You can click through the live demo straight away. What settles an evaluation is a bake-off on your own pages: scoped before it starts, one to two days, ending in a field-level accuracy report that is yours to keep.
The fee moves up the table at renewal, in the marginal steps shown, and a yearly increase is capped at 25% whatever the turnover did.
There is no page counter, no entitlement check and no licence server in the software. How many pages you can process is decided by your hardware.
The licence is per installation. How non-production environments are treated is set out in the quote; tell us what you need to run and we price it plainly.
A standard licence covers one installation, one tenant and one organisation. Serving your own clients from one installation, or embedding KognitCapture in a product you sell, is agreed separately as partner or OEM terms. Talk to us.
They are quoted per engagement after we have seen your documents, because the effort depends on them. You can also do the configuration yourself; nothing in the product requires us.
The software has no runtime licence gate, so it does not switch itself off. Your right to use it, and to receive updates and support, is governed by the licence agreement. Your data is in your own PostgreSQL database and on your own disks throughout.
